Succinctly Yours: Passing Time

Succinctly Yours is a weekly meme by grandma. Of this meme she says:

How low can you go?

Use the photo as inspiration for a story of 140 characters OR 140 words. It doesn’t have to be exactly 140, just not more. This one is 139 characters according to the character counter.

“Grandbaby is so big now.”

“Too big. Or not big enough.”

“Huh?”

“Our girl has a baby to play with. And baby’s too young for us to amuse.”

  1. Nice microfiction, Sonia, about the worries of grandparents.
I’d tell your pilgrims to make funny faces and wear big glasses that they can wiggle. That usually amuses the very young. That is what this experienced grandfather does. 🙂

  2. Wait till baby’s 5 months or so and then you can make her/him chortle with your funny faces and funny sounds. Also a Donald Duck voice amuses little ones, my favorite way to get them to laugh! Clever take on this week’s photo.

  3. Cute take! And so many comments including suggestions how to amuse little ones. Here’s another, somewhat Farkled idea of how to get a child’s attention: If the “baby’s” big enough ( teenager-y), try waving some dollar bills under her nose. The bigger the denomination, the better. LOL! Just funning you! (I know, you don’t have to tell me. I’M BAD. Lol!)

Say something and make my day!
