Succinctly Yours: Betrayed Love

Succinctly Yours is a weekly meme by grandma. Of this meme she says:

How low can you go?

Use the photo as inspiration for a story of 140 characters OR 140 words. It doesn’t have to be exactly 140, just not more. This one is 140 characters.

I took his rose and jammed the stem up his nose.

He looked flummoxed. “You-”

“I don’t forgive,” I announced and pointed him to the door.

  1. Ooh, “I don’t forgive”! This sounds like the beginning of a great novel! And who doesn’t love the word “flummoxed”?

  2. Ouch! He’s going to have to do more than bring a rose to win her back. Good thing he didn’t show up with a dozen long stems. Great microfiction. I enjoyed this!

  3. Ooh, he did something pretty awful….maybe he said he thought she should lose weight. He deserved the rose up his nose.

But she should eventually forgive him or her bitterness will eat her up.

  4. “Even as that,” said Zeus. “I’ll have that Lothario offer me to her.”
Apollo snickered. “She won’t fall in love with a flower over a man.”

I had to jump in. I’ll re-post this to the BM’s some day.

  5. What could he have done to make her do that! 😀 It was reading this Sonia that inspired me to have a go at a Drabble, which I did.

Say something and make my day!
