Succinctly Yours: Nightime Bangs and Booms

Succinctly Yours is a weekly meme by grandma. Of this meme she says:

How low can you go?

Use the photo as inspiration for a story of 140 characters OR 140 words. It doesn’t have to be exactly 140, just not more. This one is 139 characters.

I scowled out my window. They were at it again! Weren’t there rules about construction at night? I would show them! I reached for my phone.

  1. I hear yah, sistah! Your microfiction take sounds like summer outside my Wisconsin window ! (Include the buzz of our state bird, the mosquito, too!)

  2. I’m glad I live out in the boonies where there’s never a sound at night except for bullfrogs croaking, sometimes geese and ducks arguing, and occasionally a random dog barking or rooster crowing. Great take on this week’s photo!

  3. Thanks for stopping by, Sonia, and for leaving such a lovely comment. Your blog opened up an entirely new world for me. I truly enjoyed what you wrote and the emotion it evoked – how did you know I awoke this a.m. to the sound of work trucks backing up??? You’re spot on!

  4. That does happen more often than we’d like doesn’t it? Construction never seems to stop where I live!

I love your header and will come back to check out your site. I’m afraid I used last week’s Succinctly Yours photo in error, but I would love to have you drop by for a visit…”)

    1. Yeah it does and it is always so, so annoying!

I changed my header! But I am afraid it now looks a child’s crayon drawing so I am thinking of changing it again.

Say something and make my day!
